Masala Chana Salad 🤤 The perfect flavourful tangy bowl and a power packed lunch that we happily relished yesterday 😍 Black chickpeas are my personal favourite, so much so that I already have a few different versions of salads with them on my feed 😈 Simply cos they’re rich in protein, fiber and are known to offer numerous health benefits 💗

You can totally play around and cook them in whatever way you enjoy the most 😁 But this is how I used my leftover boiled chana from the weekend 😋 This bowl reminds me of the kala chana chaat which is quite a famous street food in Bombay 🥰

In a pan take 2 tbsp olive oil, on low medium heat add 1 tsp cumin seeds + pinch of heeng, let it splutter – add 1/2 tsp each of salt, red chili + coriander powder, dry mango + pomegranate powder. Toss spices until bubbly but not burnt – add boiled chana (approx 3 cups cooked) toss well for 6-7 mins until spices are well coated and water is completely dried. Remove from heat, add juice of 1 lime, 1/2 tsp black salt, chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, cilantro and combine. Serve warm 💗
